The charming young man has displayed admirable and unswerving loyalty to the club having continued his association when EP were at the foothills of the top division and slipped through that dreaded relegation trapdoor before rising like a phoenix from the ashes last season. It would have been understandable had he decided to seek pastures new during that season of woe or when it had ended but alas thankfully he decided that he would continue ploughing his furrow for the club.
During his tenure he has scored 43 goals in that century of appearances which of course is a stupendous return, especially when one considers he had been a cog in an EP team that experienced exceedingly lean times and he had a tough road to hoe.
Out on the hallowed pitch, Dan is a bracing gust of fresh air and not only on account of his footballing abilities and goal scoring prowess. He has a substantial shareholding in mustard passion, grit and determination and has a heart as large as Moby Dick. A prime example of a player who gives 110% and more for the cause whilst at the same time staying within the confines of acceptability in terms of his discipline.
His efforts shine akin to a Guardsman’s boots and he is a manager’s dream. We are very fortunate to have Dan Huet at EP and long may he continue at the club.
Jolly well done Dan !
Gerald
