Crawley Town v Haywards Heath Town. SCFA Senior Cup

Postby fanbase » Wed Nov 07 2018, 11:21

Haywards Heath Town F.C., from the Bostik league, visited Sky Bet league 2 side Crawley in the SCFA Senior cup. Crawley fielded several players with 1st team experience including all of Saturdays substitutes, Heath took the lead after just 5 minutes when a Keiran Rowe cross was inexplicably smashed into the roof of the net by a Crawley defender whilst under no pressure. Heath doubled their lead on 20 minutes when Callum Saunders broke clear only to be brought down by the goalkeeper. Saunders took the penalty himself and duly dispatched it into the back of the net. Crawley pulled one back to get back into the game, but Max Miller had other ideas. He broke clear and calmly slotted the ball past the advancing keeper. In the second half Crawley's task got harder when they had a player sent off for two yellows.
