Haywards Heath Town v Hastings United

Postby fanbase » Sun Dec 09 2018, 09:25

Haywards Heath Town took on Hastings United in the Bostik League South East Division. It was an even first half, played in wet and windy conditions in which both sides created chances and they went in at half time level. Hastings opened the scoring in the 49th minute through a Sam Adams tap in from close range. Heath upped their game and their hard work was rewarded in the 68th when Karly Akehurst volleyed home the equaliser. With a draw looking to be the outcome Alex Laing scored the winner in the 84th minute when his shot come cross was held on the wind and ended up in the back of the net. A fantastic team performance that moves the Heath up into 4th place in the league in an unbeaten run of 7 games.
