Sittingbourne v Haywards Heath Town

Postby fanbase » Sun Jan 27 2019, 10:16

Haywards Heath Town visited Sittingbourne in the Bostik League looking to complete the double having beaten them 2-0 in October. The hosts started off the stronger side and, had it not been for poor finishing and good defending, should have taken the lead before they did in the 33rd minute. The second half started with the Heath upping their game and they were rewarded after 52 minutes. Kane Louis pounced on a poor pass to the keeper and coolly lobbed him to equalise. 4 minutes later their task got harder when they lost Karly Akehurst to a straight red. Into the last minutes, with a draw looking most likely, up popped Louis again, on the edge of the penalty area, to volley home the winner.
