Corner Flags

Postby Wolfman » Sat Oct 01 2011, 21:29

It may seem a silly question but i thought that you must have corner flags in place before you start a match ?! went to watch my son play this morning on a 3G pitch with no corner flags,
when I said to the ref about it he said you dont need corner flags if you are playing on astro as the are dangerous and cant stand up !
anyone know if he was on the blag or was correct

you still need corner posts, 3G pitches have holes for them.

Flagposts
A flagpost, not less than 1.5 m (5 ft) high, with a non-pointed top and a flag must be placed at each corner.

Flagposts may also be placed at each end of the halfway line, not less than 1 m (1 yd) outside the touch line.
Who's side are you on ref?

whatever
