Why?

Postby guerrero » Mon Apr 02 2012, 22:08

When a game is over...ie the time is up...do referees always allow an extra attack, corner, free kick, long throw ?
They then either oversee a goal scored in EXTRA extra time,or blow as soon as the ball is cleared.
Is this a power trip?

Up, according to who? The clock on the telly! The fourth official indicates a minimum amount of time to be added on and should the ref think that a time has been wasted during this period he is at liberty to add to it. Mind you Clive Thomas was a stickler for time, just ask Zico in 1978
