Beckham Steps Down As England Captain

Postby A.L.B » Sun Jul 02 2006, 11:58

David Beckham has relinquished the captaincy after 58 matches.

How do people think he's done and who should be replacing him???

My choice, Steven Gerrard

After the tournament he had it can only be John Terry. Steve Gerrard is too inconsistant.

he may get slated by everyone but i think he was quality, and still.

John terry for me now, but them 2 would be diferent captains, so i would find it hard to compare.

I personnally would like to see John Terry lead our country.

I think he has Qualities that few of present players seem to have. sort of like a Roy Keene or maybe a Tony Adams.

All players selected for England have undoughted skills but J.T. has got more "STRENGTH AND DETERMINATOIN" and DRIVING FORCE needed to be a Leader .

JT would get my vote. But I think Gary Neville wore the armband after Becks substitution on Saturday so he may be in line to takeover.

I agree that Neville is the favourite after saturday, but should they not pick someone who is likely to be in the England fold for another 7,8 years, get some continuity it the squad
