YM did their chances of qualfying from the league stages of the shield no harm with a controlled and disciplined triumph at a gritty Molesey.
The victory was mared by a second successive nasty injury this time to striker Ry Taylor. It doesnt look good with cruciate ligament damage being the early diagnosis.
Lee Thomas popped up with the only goal of the game returning after missing the 6-0 humbling of Carshalton. More clinical finishing from both sides would have complimented the sweeping attacking play on view but it was YM in control for 80% of the game.
Chris Dumper had a very solid game in the YM goal and his distribution initiated many YM attacks. The hosts struck the bar late on which would have been a tough pill to swallow. It's about taking your chances though. Fortunately for YM we took one more than the oppo today.
Next up Ashford Town away on Monday night.
