Just the sort of attitude that managers are having to deal with nowadays [-X

You were never the fitest in the first place, and after over 1 year out I am really not sure we can risk starting you 8-[ ... you are now unproven at this level. 8)

I am happy to start on the bench - just leave a seat next to me for my ego and paper cuttings :D

Found a programme from about 26 years ago whilst having a sort out.
It was from the ''Knock Out Cup'' and included all the finalists right from U10's through to U16's. Not only does it have the player names but also profiles against each player in each team as provided by the Managers.

If our Gareth Davies can confirm if he was at Adur Athletic at U14's at this time? - we have GK cover if Crofty gets injured :D

Slackjack won't be able to play, he will get injured before KO, I gauarantee this WILL happen, probably when he's putting the nets up!!

Seriously, I thought Craig Stuart, Bam Bam and Pete Theodopolopidus were the same person?!!

Geoff is down to play. Does that mean he will be naked in the changing rooms?

'No Point' Dave Matthews is playing too? For those of you who won't notice him, he'll be the one that doesn't do anything. Even speak.

As for the 'Head' brothers, play them as a 'pair', see how long before they start squabbling!!

Last point; Tobi, if you honestly turn up with those girly coloured boots again, I will s**t in your kit bag!!

Gonzo is correct. I do tend to let my fitness slide at times. He on the other hand has always made sure he's in peak condition. Mainly because he knew that without an engine, no manager in the right mind would ever pick him. No good having a water carrier that can't run. It's not like he can actually play the game.

Two things for sure Eammon if we are played as a pair... 1. we will be that deep there will be no chance of a stroller being offside... 2. Both full backs will be tucked in central - and picking up

You could see a new system invented come 7th May... 2, 2, 4, 2 :P

Gonzo is so nervous about the up and coming game that he come out of retirement AGAIN today and played for EG so he be match fit for the nomads. He has now had more come backs than Phil Churchill.

So sad.

First time being able to post for while, but I am still in Afghan. Hopefully Biggles and his RAF buddies will still see it in their hearts to get me back on Friday [-o<

Would still like to be involved if possible, although it may be a late message to you Dean, will that be ok ?

Right then guys only 3 days to go and the weather even promises to shine for us!

2.30pm kick off at Arundel FC. I will be there just before 12.30pm and ideally would like everyone there for 1.00pm as we all need to put faces to names and also get some team photos done.

The team list is as follows and everyone who wants it will get at least 45 minutes! We have 21 confirmed which is great as I'm expecting a couple of last minute drop outs and also people mentioned such as myself, Geoff, and Martin are not exactly chomping at the bit to cross the white line!

Just a couple of other things to mention! This will be the first time that our brand new "Nomad" kit will be worn. Our colours are yellow tops, blue shorts, and yellow socks. The Arundel FC clubhouse will be open and I understand they have ESPN which is perfect as Tottenham v Blackpool is on at 5.30pm! :D

Lastly, can those of you not under your "real name" please PM me so that I know who I am managing Saturday!!

1.Lilyhammer
2.Big Sus
3.Ian Gilmour
4.Leftmid7
5.Eamon Searle
6.Dean Bradford
7.Tobi Hutchinson
8.Craig Stuart
9.Phil Churchill
10.Pete Christodoulou
11.Gary Croft
12.Dave Matthews
13.Jon Chaleye
14.Reece Head
15.Jay Head
16.Geoff Anscombe
17.Martin Gander
18.Greg Roffe
19.Steve Sallis
20.Dom Di Paola
21.Sammy Lee

Cheers and mobile again is 07988 216376 for any questions

When you guys have a spare bit of time, have a read through this thread in what was most definitely our most successful Nomad game to date in memory of Steve Bernard.

Makes me feel very proud to be associated again and lets hope we can do ourselves justice like we did back then!

When I read back the late Ben Steppel's comments after his superb commentary of the game it gave me a massive lump in my throat.
