Goalkeeper Coaching Qualifications

Has anyone on here done them?

From reading the FA website it seems you have to do the general Level 1 certificate before doing Level 1 Goalkeeping, then you have to complete Level 2 certificate before Level 2 Goalkeeping, anyone know why?

I presume its so that so you are the same standard coach i.e. level 1 coach and level 1 goalkeeping, then both at level 2, rather than having a higher Goalkeeping qualification, than a normal coaching 1?
