Big game team talk advice wanted.

Postby spacey » Tue Mar 13 2007, 15:26

Was going to ask this should I get to manage at a cup final this season, but as we at Billingshurst FC have an important Semi final this week against Stedham and it is my first Semi Final as then manager, thought I would ask now.

I wondered if anyone had any tips for the team talk for a semi final, any that you remember from playing, managing or good ones you have heard.
Pre-season is about bullshi!tters, backstabbers and finding out who you can trust!

From a playing point of view they shouldn't need motivating-they're playing for a chance to get to a final!!

We've got one this Saturday too and already everyone is talking about it and can't wait for the weekend to come, people are up for it all ready!

Best one I heard was

"Don't let this tin pot team take a tin pot medal off you. If anyone deserves tin pot cup its f*****ing us. We are more tin pot than them, so lets show em".

It was a Sunday League Final. We won 6-3!!

Humour always works when there is a bit of pressure.

its only a game
