Montgomery Cup - 1st Round

Smallfield v Forest Row - Clash of two so far unbeaten sides when Premiership Smallfield meet Championship side Forest Row at Plough Road ko 1330 hrs, as stated two sides yet to lose a league game and will no doubt be looking for some additional silverware at seasons end.

Smallfield continued their remarkable run of 5's when beating Forest Row by 5 goals to 2, which allied with their 4 league games means they have now accumulated 5 wins and 25 goals scored at exactly 5 goals per game!

They went ahead around the 20 min mark when a cross from Liddell was driven home by ? ( no. 11 ) left after 25 mins due to inclement weather plus no shelter, then over to Three Bridges v Hastings United ( with shelter ).

Afternoon mike!

Nice to hear you're still trying to get down plough road to show your support. The lads are quite happy with the start we have made to the season, but we always feel there is room for improvement. We have a slightly bigger and stronger squad this season, and everyone fighting for a shirt each week. Number 11 was andy Rodgers yesterday he bagged a brace, with Harry Williams (8) aiden murrell (14) and an og completing the scoring.

Very happy with yesterday's win after they knocked us out that cup last year!

Hopefully we will see you down at the ground again soon

Hi JSMALL. Although i was only there for about half an hour ( rain ) i was impressed with the high tempo played during that time, also your defence looks quite formidable in height and physique when matched against the smaller forward line of the opposition, plus of course the additional bonus of a strike force that seem to be scoring goals for fun at the moment.

Like the quotation from General McArthur ( WW2 ) 'I will return'.
