Home and Away

Postby Mike May » Thu Oct 29 2015, 19:27

Local villagers Smallfield after eight unbeaten games, lie currently third in the table six points behind Jarvis Brook with a game in hand, after this coming Saturday ( another home game ) i ask myself why is this so, if one peruses the league table one will see that after Saturdays fixture Smallfield will have played seven of their nine opening games at home, leaving just two away, why such a one sided fixture opening?

One gets used to teams who share with their white flannelled brethren in starting with a batch of away fixtures, but the opposite appears to have taken over in this case. perhaps the 'Field' might suffer from travel sickness, or at least the planners who make up the fixtures!

PS. What are Jarvis Brook like?

Hi Mike,

We are a bit better than we were last year! Also, like Smallfield, we seem to be just playing at home at the mo

Hi Brook, just noticed the best so far - East Grinstead United played nine of which eight have been at home. is this a record?
