The manager is Adie Koniecsny. He used to be the Petworth manager a few years back and also ran the rep team when we won the inter league trophy a few years back before taking a break.

He will be in touch with managers over the coming weeks I expect and knowing him he will also be watching a number of games. Keep your eyes peeled though as if the grass is too long, you won't be able to see him

Macca you were a star for the Rep team that won the Inter-League Comp 2 years ago, one of only 3 players who played every minute of every game and in a defence that only conceded 2 goals in 4 games! Hear you are fighting for another corner now though???

With Angmering folding, Newtown losing most of their players, Barnham being promoted, Cowfold having an injury crisis and a couple of top players unavailable, the WSFL Rep Team has lost every player from the winning squad of 2 years ago and most from last season but the league still has plenty of quality and we will rise from the ashes!

First game is away to Worthing League next Wed 19th Oct at Worthing FC's Woodside Road Ground. 7.30pm k.o.

Adie cheers for the kind words we had a great bunch of lads when you run it, and the training sessions before were top draw...
Yes the rumours are true I am assisting with The Worthing League squad and really looking forward to meeting up with your lads at Woodside Road on Wednesday!

Worthing League 3 - 3 West Sussex
Good entertaining game and tbh a fair result..
West Sussex took the lead through a defensive error, then Dan Yeomans equalised from 20 yards with the right foot. HT 1-1.
The home side came out of the blocks quicker 2nd half and forced a corner which John Axeworthy headed in. An end to end game was happening and fitness levels were good all-round, West Sussex were playing nice intricate passes and had a really good spell which resulted in another defensive error on the edge of the box to force another equalizer. With 20 mins to play probable MOM Dan Yeomans struck a free-kick from 25 yards which rocketed pass the keeper 3-2 =D> .... However the inevitable happened and West Sussex got a fully deserved leveller on 80 mins - final score 3-3.

A good game for the neutral West Sussex were well drilled and it showed Adies lads try to play football the right way and will certainly be there or there abouts at the end, Worthing did themselves proud too and looked threatening going forward, but need to cut out the silly errors.

Good luck to Adie and West Sussex in the rest of the tournament and thanks to Worthing FC for hosting the game.

Worthing League:
1. Rapps
2. Mckenzie
3. Hammond
4. Dawson
5. Carter
6. Sell
7. Axeworthy
8. Russell
9. Yeomans
10. Rhodes
11. Gillard
12. Donnelley
13. Gilbert
14. Rogers
15. Williams

Sorry I didnt have the West Sussex teamlist but i am sure their manager will post it

Yes Macca a fair result. U bossed us physically and although we might have had the edge with the intricate football, your lads gave us big problems at times and were well up for it as usual! Tbh we could have done with you to deal with the aerial bombardment especially with those incredible long throws! They were sick and almost impossible to defend!

You have got the sequence of scoring a bit upside down though! You took lead inside 10 mins through your no10. Our No10 Nico Molijn then scored twice midway through the 1st half to give us a 2-1 HT lead. You then battered us for the first 10 mins of the 2nd half and went 3-2 up through a couple of set-pieces - a header from your giant no7 and a bullet free-kick from your no10.

Dean Robinson equalised for us with 10 to go and maybe we could have nicked it with our late pressure but 3-3 was a more than fair result and all round it was a enjoyable game of football to be involved in. Thanks to Worthing FC for being excellent hosts, for providing a great pitch and the professional touch of announcing subs and goalscorers via the booming loudspeaker. Quality stuff!

West Sussex Team

GK - Sam Brock - West Chilt
LB - Andy Carragher - Sidlesham
RB - Jack Corbett - Watersfield
CB - Lloyd Hatton - Cowfold
CB - Pete Proto - Billingshurst (CAPT)
LM - Dec Jenkins - West Chilt
RM - Greg Brabon - Cowfold
CM - Dean Bennett - Yapton
CM - Ross Barnett - Cowfold (MOM)
CF - Nico Molijn - Billingshurst
CF - Dean Robinson - Cowfold

Subs

Tom Freeman (65) for Dec Jenkins - West Chilt
Ash Lewis (80) for Dean Bennett - Billingshurst
Chris Simmonds (Not used - sorry!) - Billingshurst

Manager - Adie Konieczny
Assistant - Mark Cooper (should be f*****g playing!)
Physio - Lucy Meakin

Now we are up n running lets bring on the Brighton & Hove District League at Arundel FC on Wed Nov 23rd!

And good luck to you Macca with your Managerial career. You are a great motivator and a huge asset to any team on or off the pitch!
