Billingshurst 2 - 1 GSK Sports. Vernon Wentworth Cup.
Hard fought game on a sapping surface. First half goals from skipper Pete Proto and one just before the interval by Marcus Strevens saw the home side through to the next round. Despite the absence of top scorer Paul Elliott we were able to introduce Darren Annis for his debut and also have the luxury of resting ever present Nick Tilley along with Matt Balmer and Ash Lewis, all three being introduced in the second half. GSK proved determined opponents and had a second half penalty saved and got their only goal late on but it proved too late as Hurst held on for a deserved win. No game now until we host Newhaven from County 3 in the Intermediate Cup on Jan 7th.

Enjoy the rest over the holidays. We have got four fixtures between now and that game in 3 weeks time. See you then.

We look forward to the game as it will give us a good indication on how far we have progressed as a club. We only wish we had some fixtures to keep us ticking over during the holiday period. Congratulations on getting to the summit of County 3 & we look forward to hosting you in the
New Year,
