New manager at Clymping

Postby Rusty G » Mon Jun 05 2006, 09:30

I hear through the grapevine that Clymping FC have appointed our very own 'The Horse' as their new manager.

Dom was of course with us last season and has been involved in the very successful Clifton Sunday side.

Best of luck with the new challenge, and well done for beating of the likes of Trevor Waller / Scott Farrell in the interview process.

I never know Trevor went for the job - I know though that he fancied a shot at a first team, after running several reserve teams.

Is that fact Rusty?

I heard Clymping had already played a friendly, despite not having even officially started training, which would suggest it is a closed shop in terms of players.

Lord Zola,

Definitely not a closed shop as currently I think we only have about 8 players signed on!!!

We trained last Tuesday and had a run out against Haywards Heath this tuesday (with 9-10 triallists) and so far we have had decent interest but a lot of players as normal are shopping around, training with different clubs etc. and so we wont know what we'll be like for a good couple of weeks yet and I suspect a few of the more decent players will not play as obviously more attractive offers will come in if their good enough.

So to categorically state we desperately need players, we are not a closed shop and welcome anyone to training (which is Tuesday & Thursday nights 7.30 start at Clymping FC - subject to any friendly being arranged) and if any players want the first team managers number or email pm me and ill give em the details

Thanks

Mark

New clymping manager

Postby thepokerchoker » Fri Jul 28 2006, 15:12

After playing with dom for about 15 years i know he is the right man for the job. He is the most organised and charismatic manager/friend i know.

and yes we are going to be playing at Clymping FC the ground staff there have maintained a flat pitch which we hope will show our true potential when we knock it about.
