First memories of watching football on the tv are Mexico 86 - and the best memories were Italia 90. I have picked my favourite 11 rather than best 11!
GK - David Seaman; Shilton was a better keeper I think, but Euro 96 was also great fun and Seaman played a blinder especially against the auld enemy.
RB - Paul Parker; loved Linekers goal against the Germans in the semi final '90, Parker provided the assist and the move made a yound lad very happy (for a short time)
LB - Stuart Pearce; Cole is class but Pearce was all heart
CB - Des Walker; as a Wednesday fan I love him anyway, awesome at his peak.
CB - Terry Butcher; close call with Tony Adams, but the bloodied bandage is an iconic photo that swung it for me.
RM - David Beckham; inspirational for a number of years and full of quality
LM - Chris Waddle; second favourite player of all time (after David Hirst
CM - Paul Gascoigne; I used to like Spurs just because of him - IMO was the best player in the world at his peak.
CM - David Platt; goal scoring midfielder and the one against Belgium in Italia 90 was emotional!
ST - Gary Lineker; hat trick against Poland with the bandaged arm was one of my first memories - loved it.
ST - Michael Owen; coin flip with Alan Shearer
