Who Is Producing The Best Programme? Div-1

Postby Michael Stewart » Wed Sep 28 2005, 15:39

Well as we are over a month into the season programme editors should be settled in what they are trying to put out in the way of a matchday magazine for their clubs.

So who do you think is producing the best programme in Division One and add a reason or reasons for why you have voted for it.

Also who do you think could make more of an effort. Advise how improvements could be made. [/code]

Well have to say that I haven't had the time this season to keep up to the standard I want to sadly. However, and probably controversially, the standard of progammes I have seen so far this season from all clubs we've played has been pretty diabolical. I can't vote for anyone. Sorry.

As I'm sure you'll agree Geoff.

A clubs matchday programme is one of the most important things to get right. It is often in many ways the public face of your club. It gives an impression of how well the club is run.

Advertisers will not plough money into a club they don't actually visit and the only view of the club they get is through a shoddy 12 page programme.

Collectors from all around the world will probably NEVER visit your club so once again the programme is the only thing they have to form an opinion on the club.

Not meaning to blow my own trumpet but when I produced the programme for Redhill I had some amazing feedback fom places as far flung as Australia, USA, Singapore, Uruguay and believe it or not Lebanon. They thought the club was a professional one with great prospects and wonderful facilities.................................

I urge all clubs to make the best possible effort with your programme. It gives a good impression of your club AND YOUR LEAGUE

AS WE LOST OUR PRINTERS IT IS VERY COSTLY TO PRODUCE AND TAKES A LOT OF TIME DOING THE PROGRAMME AND THEN PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER TIME I DO NOT HAVE

Can't comment on County 1. Best i've seen in County 2 for content is Mile Oak. However, a lot of the conent is very personal to Mile Oak and I think you have to be part of the club to understand it?

Ours is not bad. Not as good as last season as I am running the reserves so I am relying on a lot of others for their input. Fanbase does a great job for me with Pics and match updates.

Fair play Spence and well done for doing it as long as you have. The club has had more than enough time to get the situation sorted out!!!

I hear that someone is interested but unless something happens soon that someone might get fed up waiting for the call and go somewhere else!

Spence

You have done a bloody good job on Redhill's matchday programme, no matter what anyone say's. I personally want to thank you for helping with the matchday programme, there have been a lot of people admiring your programme so forget about that one person.

Thanks again Spence
