From bbc

WHAT IF TWO TEAMS FINISH LEVEL IN THE GROUP STAGE?

If two or more teams finish level on points at the end of the first round stage, a series of criteria determines their finishing order in the group table.

The first is who has the superior goal difference over the group games.

Should the teams still be level, whichever team has scored the highest number of goals will advance, or if that fails, it will come down to which team took most points when they played each other.

As a final resort, if none of these factors can separate the teams, the World Cup organising committee will draw lots.

Lots???

Surely as a money spinner they should have a peno shootout, allow fans in at a cut price and make extra dosh!

lots sounds like it will be drawn out of the hat...,how fair would that be!

id be rooting for trinidad! what an achievement for them it would be!

imagine that. the team who got left behind would be gutted it would cause uproar. and imagine the rivalry the next time the 2 teams meet. think thats a really unfair way to go about it especially with the money involved

the drawing of lots is totally unfair. Cant beleive that will happen. I also think looking back at how successful a team has been at preivous world cups again is unfair. We live for the moment not the past. The only fair way is to have a playoff on Thursday. The team they play in the next round would have an advantage but then thats their fault for not scoring and having defensive tatics etc. I suppose Trinidad would prefer the drawing of lots as they would have better chance of progressing because Im sue they wont get that lucky again against Sweden.

Paraguay at 10/11 is probably the best bet of they day.

If you are confident of England Drawing then 7/4 is the best bet, your better off backing correct score at 0-0 (11/2 or no goalscorer as flukey own goal either way would be annoying), 1-1(9/2) and 2-2(16/1). Unless you think it will be a 3-3 or 4-4 classic

Do no goalscorer rather than 0-0 as own goals dont count. Two own goals either end and you get paid out twice.
