Eastbourne Utd Vets v Nomad Steve Bernard XI

Postby Dean Bradford » Fri Nov 04 2005, 20:42

Right, lets get down to business. We are all deeply saddened by Steves death and I feel this match on Sunday 27th November takes on a different meaning.

I have volunteereed to be player/manager for this match at Shoreham (4pm kick off) I want every nomadian to pledge themselves to this match regardless of footballing ability in memory of Steve and with promise of a donation towards his family in which we will raise a healthy sum in his honour.

Please state below that you will join the nomad team to play against Eastborune at Shoreham and your preferred position so that we can get the ball really rolling on this one.

No one cares if you haven't played footie for a while or you don't think you can cut it as the important thing is raising loads of dosh for Steves family or his chosen charity via his family.

Can we also do this for those from recent seasons, i.e. the two lads at Sidley, Tye's mate and whoever else. Call it a memorial game in his name, but remember all those young lads that have tragically left us.

Anyway I'm in, £20 pledged.

Great stuff so far lads this is just the start we needed.
