Gone for Peacehaven but expect there to be a really good local tussle with Newhaven pushing them hard.

Hope the SCL use their heads with the fixtures for this one. Last game of the season derby with the winner taking the title could well set a modern record crowd figure for either club. Might have to play it at the Withdean Stadium!!

the first derby between the 2 teams in years is boxing day at newhaven and i for one am well excited! newhaven on average get 100 people watching them peacehaven on average get 50, add both team reserve squads and people wandering down for an xmas gathering it could see a massive gate of 300+

last years reserve clash at fort road produced 220 people on an average saturday afternoon with both teams having first team fixtures that day!(a certain striker banged in the winner in a 3-2 thriller  )

so an exciting clash awaits!

good choice by the way i agree with you 100%

Not suprised Tye

I reckon with the title at stake and sensibly played on a Sunday, a la Stamco v Peacehaven a few years back, I think the crowd figure could exceed 500

the crowd could be a record for the whole scfl for this season let alone an intermediate football crowd!

i think the scfl will have it on the april bank holiday, that is the norm with local derbys! unless youre in the arun region when they stick wick and littlehampton with seperate clubs on the bank holidays!

Assuming both sides keep their form, if they played it on Easter Sunday the crowd would be massive. I'd be there for sure.

Haven't been down to Piddinghoe Avenue for a while. It is one of my favourite grounds!

If anyone heard the Southern Counties Radio non league round up last weekend it sounds like the Sussex County League could be heavily affected. Sound like Div-3 will probably go altogether, making the push to get promotion even more important

Gone for Peacehaven as they really seem to be hitting some good form.

What is going on in Div 3? It seems a really difficult division every week to predict results in as everyone keeps beating each other!!

This is going to cause some post's but it's my honest opinion

I don't think Peacehaven will win the league we have played 3 or 4 teams already this season who my opinion are better sides.

Lingfield & Little Common to name two will be there or there abouts, and I wouldn't rule us out of the equation (no, I'm not going mad !!)

We have been to Peacehaven, Haywards Heath, Hurstpierpoint, Newhaven, Wadhurst, and played Lingfield and Little Common at home, all of this with 8/9 players unavailable injured.

In the last three weeks we have welcomed back key players and subsequently gone 4 games unbeaten and conceeded 1 goal in 350 minutes. With Benn Challen, Si Clayton, Mike Blackall and Russ Tomlinson all due back in the next few weeks, we still remain hopefull of turning round our poor start to the season.
Account no longer in use.

Fair play to you Rusty - you are in a stronger position to judge than most of us seeing games week in week out. I'm just going by results and what I read here.
