Should make match of the day interesting on BBC1.

Last night Linekar asked Poyet what was happening and in his pigeon English told the viewers that he couldn't make a comment because of legal reasons, but that he is a hard worker and as far as he is concerned he is the manager of brighton.

He did add, however, that his way of dealing with players, is HIS way and that everyone knew that from the outset.

From the Argus:

Albion's suspended manager Gus Poyet has avoided a disciplinary hearing with the club "for disputed legal reasons."

Poyet was meant to attend the hearing with club officials at The Amex this morning.

A club statement said: "Following the completion of a detailed internal investigation, Gus Poyet's disciplinary hearing commenced this morning.

"However, Gus Poyet elected not to attend for disputed legal reasons. The club's disciplinary panel chose to adjourn the meeting to later this week to provide Mr Poyet with a final opportunity to attend."

That's an ouch for Gus then! Handed an email whilst being interviewed by the bbc, put out to the press informing them of his departure, before being told by the club himself.
Brian Clough has God sit on his lefthand side!

Horrendous PR from the club, after everything that has gone on over the past five weeks it does seem they sacked him whilst he were live on tv, reading into todays statement. I'm becoming more and more hostile towards the new CEO Paul Barber, everything seemed to be going so well before he intervened. We are loooking a bit of a joke club at present.

New man Appointed, Good choice.

But it doesn't seem like the club is moving in anyway to get those out of contract players back, Just seen El-Abd doing fitness training at Patcham Place with his Wife.

Personally out of the list of players released, I would have David Lopez, Vicente and El-Abd back.

I agree, I'd have them all back too, but Spanish Dave and El Abd have been hedging their bets to see who comes in, they now know and both have contracts ready to sign, I think they'll be back as, I believe is the chance of El Punal making a return. Seems a load of bull that he was injured most of last season and the exiting manager just didn't like him, probably an ego thing. Give Oscar time to bed in, I can't see Brighton turning cartwheels next season, the new man has no experience of English footy... I just hope the Brighton fans are patient.
