Adams returns

Postby fanbase » Fri May 09 2008, 04:39

Brighton have re-appointed Micky Adams as manager with Dean Wilkins offered the role of first-team coach.

Adams led Albion to the old Third Division title during his first spell in charge from 1999 to 2001.
Adams left Brighton for Leicester City in 2001
He takes over with the Seagulls just outside the play-off positions in seventh in League One this season.

"The board feel we need a manager with the wealth of experience to help us make the leap into the Championship," said chairman Dick Knight.

"Dean's strengths lie in coaching and the development of players and that is why we have offered him the role of senior coach under Micky."

Adams has also worked at Fulham and Leicester and was most recently assistant boss at Colchester.

Adams said: "Having worked at the club previously, which was a fantastic and rewarding experience, to get the chance to manage a super football club like Brighton & Hove Albion again was an opportunity I couldn't turn down.

"I look forward to working alongside Dean Wilkins, the players and the rest of the coaching staff - and working together with the Albion supporters - to try and get this club back into the Championship as we move towards our new home."

What an underhand move against Dean Wilkins, who did a great job in his first full season.

mmmnn cant argue in some respects with the appointment, if Dean Wilkins excepts the position - where does that leave Chappers?

They may have been asked to stay but I dont think its going to happen. Ian has resigned and Dean is now"on holiday".

It seems some people are living on past glories with Adams. Awful manager and an arrogant egotistical tw*t to boot.

Ralph Wiggum will fail.

Lets see what happens. If he does well again at Brighton it might just show what sort of club Coventry were when he was there!?!?!?!!

It's not what kind of a club we are Pete, I know we're not very good but Adams is partly to blame for that downfall. I've seen with my own eyes what kind of manager and person Adams is.

Anyone who spends £600k on Kevin Kyle should be admitted to a mental home.

If Brighton wins, it'll be down to Micky Adams. If Brighton lose it will down to 'it's not his team' then when it is his team it'll be down to 'Didn't have enough money to spend'. Then when he does have enough money to spend he'll blame it on anything else he can.

Baffling substitutions, awful tactics, terrible signings, crazy team selections, falling out with players because the guy is an egotistical pr!ck who thinks his bigger than the club. Brighton are welcome to him.

And the nause constantly speaks in the 3rd person. Why ?

Enjoy crooked necks Brighton fans. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFF !

It's a shame really as I don't mind Brighton, being from around here and all and I'm honestly gutted for them.
