Premiership Match - Smallfield v Willingdon Athletic

The homesters will no doubt be hoping for three points this saturday, after it would appear a slight lull in their fortunes over their last two matches, scrambling to a 2-1 win over Lindfield, followed by a 3-2 reverse to Peacehaven United, all this happening after starting the season 'on fire' with a 100% record after 4 matches and 20 goals to boot.

With three players under suspension perhaps a more circumspect approach needs to be followed

DONS MAKE FIELD LOOK SMALL

Smallfield fell further behind in the title race after a disappointing performance against midtable Willingdon who belied their position in the table to stretch the homesters thro out and could well have taken the three points if it had not been for some profligate finishng and the form of home keeper Zak Rice, as it was they had to wait til the last minutes of the game to get the equaliser their display warranted.

Not knowing the players names to well i thought that No 7 Joseph Mortimore ( hope i've got the right name ) had great pace, whilst the introduction of Jamie Liddell midway thro the second half certainly caused the Dons defence to stay alert. Overall probably a fair result but the homesters need to get back into that early season form if they still want to keep in touch.
