Polegate Town FC celebrate 100 years of football in Polegate this season, with the first ever Polegate FC being set up back in 1915, when the RN Polegate airship crew formed a team to play inter-services games in and around Eastbourne and Hailsham.
To celebrate our centenary, Polegate Town FC are hosting 3 games over the Easter weekend (Saturday 4th April - Monday 6th April). The current 1st team are playing RAF Digby on the Saturday, with kick off being at 2pm. This game ties in nicely with the connection of the RAF to the airship crew back in 1915. The day after on Easter Sunday will see Town's 2nd team play host, with the Polegate Veterans playing Polegate and Stone Cross Cricket Club on the Monday.
We hope that plenty of people turn up over the weekend to what should be 3 entertaining games. The club will have food and drinks available during all 3 matches. For further details, please visit the club website or get in touch via email
