Bronze smells Gold

What a brilliant result for the Lionesses last night after falling behind early in the second half, strikes by Steph Houghton and a howitzer from Lucy Bronze put us back into the match and the quarter finals to boot.

Custodian Karen Bardsley kept us in the game at times, whilst veteran Jill Scott showed plenty of nous in running the ball to the corner flag several times at the end to eat up precious time.

Well done to Mark Sampson in plotting and getting us as far as we have, with hosts Canada next on the 'chopping block' ( hopefully ).

What with Englands 50ODI cricket squad and Andy Murray, surely summer has finally arrived, but dont tell the Aussies!
